Does The LORD love His saints less when they disobey?
Absolutely not, Because He always loves them with an everlasting love, His love is unquenchably unending Disobedience grieves our LORD (and He chastises us), and breaks our fellowship, but it doesn't eternally separate us from Him, nothing can separate us from Him ( Romans 8:35-39) Does the LORD love His saints more when they obey? Absolutely not, Because His love is already too much, it is everlasting, it cannot be increased any further (Jeremiah 31:3) So why do we obey? What is the motivation for our obedience? There are Two primary Biblical reasons why we ought to obey our LORD>> 1) WE OBEY OUR GOD FOR WHO HE IS: HE IS A GLORIOUSLY HOLY GOD We obey our LORD because we’re so in awe of His Gloriously Holy Nature and overwhelmed by His amazing grace and love for us in Saving us; So our obedience stem from a transformed heart, full of awe and adoration, full of great Joy and delight and gratitude to our LORD 2) WE OBEY OUR LORD BECAUSE WE LOVE HIM We obey our LORD because we love Him dearly, and love for Him indeed is the loftiest calling, it is the greatest commandment, and ought to be our greatest delight (Matthew 22:37-38) We have tasted of the LORD and we know of nothing more gloriously delightful than to enjoy the fellowship of our LORD (Psalm 34:8) In other words, we obey our LORD so we can enjoy His eternal, marvelous love for us, with increasing measure and awe (Ephesians 3:17-19) Therefore in conclusion:>> We don’t obey GOD in order to earn His love, We don't obey GOD to maintain His love for us, We don't obey our LORD just so we might escape His chastening; We obey our LORD because HE IS A GLORIOUSLY HOLY GOD; We obey our LORD because we’re already overwhelmed by His love, And we go on obeying our LORD so that we can enjoy increasingly more of His everlasting love for us, And so that being consumed by Him in deep fellowship, we may yield to Him delightfully, that HE may make of us whatever He wills and thus use us as holy instruments for His glory GLORY TO OUR LORD
